Panic Attack Treatment This Doesn't Make Sense

My psychotherapy client sits opposite me frozen in terror. We live in a world of "what ifs." Life is unpredictable and can be dangerous. But a majority of people wouldn't give a notion to stepping into an elevator. The likelihood of anything bad happening is so low it approaches the impossible. Sadly, for my client, the worry feels so real she cannot walk-through the elevator doors. What she doesn't realize is the fact that the danger she faces isn't a stuck elevator
